Description of Classes

Yoga
Whether or not you've tackled yoga before these classes can be for you! 45-60-minutes of a yoga work-out with a focus on all ascpets of Yoga and its benefits.
Instructors are Katy and Christina for any questions on these classes please call the Wellness Center and these wonderful ladies will get back to you.
Plank-It
Planks and millions of plank variations compose this half-hour class that focuses on everyone's trouble area - the core! Plan on planks that hit your entire core (abs, obliques, lower back, glutes and quads), and you can also expect some cardio here and there to keep your heart rate elevated.
Core Toning
Everyone is looking for the key that unlocks the perfect core. 45-minutes of core toning on Thursday night won't be the solution, but it will be a key component of the solution. A sculpted core take over all body fat loss, toning and the right foods. Knock off the toning with this class that will incorporate multiple muscle group moves that hit as many angles of your core as possible.
HIIT and HIIT Fit
These are the toughest classes of the week, and you should come prepared to take your workout to a new level. High Intensity intervals are used to get your heart rate in unknown territory and teach your body to work anaerobically. There is a lot of jumping and running in this class, so consider that!
Aerobics
This hour long class combines cardiovascular and strength training for a total body workout. Jumping jacks, grapevines, and an aerobic steps are just a few of the things you may encounter during this class. It is a beginner level class, and it is the perfect place for beginners
Pilates
Slow things down and take time to focus on your accessory muscles during our 45-minute Pilates class. Plan on feeling the burn in your legs, glutes, and core like you never have before. This class is perfect for beginners and veterans.
Kick HIIT
High Intensity Cardio is the focus here. Don't worry about the class only being 30 minutes! You'll work extremely hard in those 30 minutes with high intensity kickboxing based moves to shoot your heart rate to a new level. It's a good idea to come to this class with some experience!
Circuit Blast
A circuit style class that combines cardio and strength training all in one. Plan on using lots of dumbbells in this class. It's the perfect combination of cardio and strength, and it's great for beginners or those looking to change their routine up. If you've never done a strength program before this is a great start.
Fun Fit
Call this workout a buffet! 30-minutes is all you need. This class is for the "seasoned" age group or anyone looking to start a physical fitness program with no experience.
Box Pump
A heart-pounding mix of cardio kickboxing and toning moves with an aerobic bar. The class lasts 45 minutes, and it's great for beginners and advanced participants. Work up a sweat yabbing and kicking your way to a

WHAT'S ALL THE RAGE?
The Nemaha County Wellness Center offers something for everyone. Group fitness class are a great way to begin any physical fitness journey, and coming to group classes keeps your workout fresh. The camaraderie in the group class format holds you accountable, and you may find yourself making less excuses for not working out when you join a class. Group classes always welcome newcomers and walk-ins. You never need to sign up to come to a group fitness class!
WHAT DO I BRING?
Bring yourself in comfortable clothes and shoes. If you have an exercise mat and a set of dumbbells you can bring those too. However, there are mats and dumbbells available at the Wellness Center for your use FREE of charge.
WHO TEACHES THE CLASSES?
Katy Billings is the instructor for group fitness classes. Katy has much experience in the group class setting, and she is also a certified personal trainer and cross country coach. Call her anytime with questions you might have about the classes 402-274-7890.
WHEN WILL I LOSE WEIGHT/ GET STRONGER/ GET RIPPED/ ETC?
It all depends on YOU! Coming to classes is a great start, but what ou do on the outside counts even more! Talk to Katy if you need help with nutrition or if you have questions about what to do when you're not in a class.

Letter from Katy...
Thanks for your interest in the Wellness Center group fitness classes. We offer a wide range of classes to fit any level, so from beginners to experienced participants there is something for everyone. Group fitness classes are always open for walk-ins, and you don't have to sign up in advance or be a member to attend. For safety purposes, participants must be 13 years old to attend classes. You are always welcome to come and take a sneak peek of the class to get a feel for what it is like. All you need to bring to each class is yourself in comfortable shoes and workout clothes. You can bring an exercise mat and hand weights if you have them, but we have some available for use as well. Please see the class descriptions above for an idea of what each class entails. You can always call me or send me a message if you have questions. I feel our group class setting is the best around, and I'd love for you to come see for yourself!
